My sewing area, that is. Since I was unable to sew for so long, that area became storage. When our old TV died, instead of just tossing it, we put it in front of my sewing area until we could find a proper place to dispose of it. I don’t even know what fabrics I have at this point, because I can’t get to them.
I really need to clear things out. It’s time to clean the old serger and sewing machine, figure out what I have and need, and get to work.
I also should really finish my website, but it’s been weird trying to figure out what I want to do, add or use, so I can redirect the old site here. I feel guilty focusing too much time on any one thing, but both can really suck your time up! And that’s not even everything I need to do, like genealogy!
Even though I’m excited to start sewing again, there’s a side of me that’s nervous — knowing once things are organized, I won’t have any more excuses keeping me from diving in to sewing projects that terrify me a bit.
At the same time, I know once I dig my way out, I’ll be up for the challenge — and the fun!
I’m glad you finally started a blog so you can really focus on the things you enjoy doing. I found that my blog makes me stay focused on what I enjoy. I have no choice but really think about writing and other things I love.
I hope your blog helps you keep moving on your projects. While you’re still relatively new to sewing, you’ve figured out a lot on your own. With a little help, you’ll be unstoppable!
I look forward to seeing the blog — and all your hobbies — grow and improve 🙂
Well, I don’t know if I’ll be unstoppable, but I’ll definitely keep having fun and challenging myself! 😉
I agree with you about staying focused and thinking about things. It’s helping me gather my thoughts about what I want and need to do. It’s also helping me get excited and ready to tackle things! Not just sewing, either, but all the other things that I enjoy doing.
Thanks so much for the reply!
