When it’s not in the budget, you don’t need it to get anything, or you can’t find what you need… you have coupons everywhere.
The minute you actually need a coupon, they’re all expired, or you forget to bring them with you. D’oh!

Yep, it’s like coupons and retailers know… 😉
I especially love when you have a coupon out of date by a day or two and a retailer won’t honor it.
I know that perhaps their system is set up a certain way and they have to have a coupon in date, but with people able to jump online and complain on blogs, Facebook, and Twitter, it seems like it’s in any company’s best interests to honor a coupon and keep or make a customer, instead of drive them away.
I’m reminded of the day we were in Quizno’s and there was a family of 4 or 5. There for the first time because they had a coupon. The coupon was expired, and the store manager wouldn’t honor it.
The family left and I’m guessing they never returned to the store.
Because of one little “This is how we do it, and if it doesn’t fall into this way of doing things, we refuse to treat you well,” that store lost 4-5 people who may have come back a couple times a month (or more).
Well, it’s not even that so much as I get flooded with coupons all the time. The times I can use them and need them though, I sit there wondering “okay, where are the 3-4 I’m usually getting flooded with!?” Seriously. It’s so weird!
And of course, when I used to print out my emailed coupons I never could use them… figures that we’d find ourselves at a store recently and I didn’t have one on me.
