Sadly, I have not done as much with this website or blog as I originally planned. Every time I sit down to do more work — especially the costume gallery and a few other regular pages — I start realizing that is time I could be using for other things like the sewing I need to do.
Still, it’s nice to have a new website covering what I’m up to, even if I don’t update very often. Maybe some day I will finish some of those sections I’ve been meaning to get around to. I hope it won’t be on the second anniversary, but maybe it just means I’m sewing and finishing up all those projects I need to do.
Thanks for visiting and best wishes!
About Cynthia Griffith
I have way too many interests and hobbies, and continually cycle through them -- paying attention to some, while others wait for when I can get around to them again.
My main interests are sewing and costuming (I enjoy historical clothing, such as 18th and 19th century, as well as fantasy costumes like elves and hopefully someday even dwarves), as well as getting back to art by drawing fan art of Thorin Oakenshield and Company.
My husband Christopher and I spend a lot of time together, enjoying the outdoors and shared hobbies such as juggling. This blog and website is my way to share what I'm up to with friends and family.
I’d much rather see you sewing new things than focusing on putting up old art and other things.
Scrolling back through what you’ve done with the blog in the past year, you’ve shared a lot and made some big strides in the things you’re able to do.
So happy birthday to the blog and the last year of progress! 🙂
Happy…um…Birthday! 🙂 I’m just glad you started this blog or I would have never been able to catch up with my friend from old times!

Happy Birthday! Sure, you haven’t updated daily but regularly is good too. I think you’re doing a great job both here and on your projects!
Congrats on your first year!
Thanks so much, everyone! I think the biggest frustration for me is building the rest of the website. Every time I get started, I decide my time could be better spent or I’m just not sure how I want to proceed. I’m sure I’ll get around to it eventually. I think it’s just the format for working on it — it’s different than what I’m used to doing. In some ways it’s easier to use WordPress, and in other ways there are things I’m not as fond of. As far as adding blog entries a little more often, perhaps as more starts happening I’ll have more to chat about. There will be a small entry posted tomorrow about this weekend. Who knows how many interesting things I’ll have to blog about for 2011… right Kaycee? 😀
And Amy, I’m glad you found me! It’s so funny how big the Internet is, but how small it can be when you run across people you used to know. I’m always hearing from others, too, about how they bump into old friends or meet new people who know someone they know.
Thanks again, everyone!
