I may have cut back on a lot of projects and events, but I’m still working on things.
I’m almost finished with my second shift, and I just finished the sash for my chemise a la reine (CALR), although I might do something else to the sash later if I’m in the mood.
I still have things to make and a few things to purchase, but I’m determined to finally finish up the layers so I can wear my CALR and get some photos by an event in late July.
I also have a few other accessories for another outfit to make, and I keep thinking about some personal projects I’ve been wanting to get back to.
I originally planned on wearing the CALR for an event in November, but I don’t mind wearing it a few times.
I’m hoping to have a few other accessories finished by November, so that might make the CALR feel “new” to me again.
Here is a quick photo of the silk sash for the CALR:
My husband is very busy as well, and one of the things he’s doing is a Kickstarter project for an ebook he’s wanting to re-release. I thought I’d share the link here:
The fabric for the sash is soooooooo cool! I know in some lighting that it seems a little more gray than blue, but once it’s up against white…even in rooms where it’s looked gray, it looks like a nice, powdery blue. It’s gonna be great once it’s all done and put together!
It’s really beautiful and I can imagine how lovely the color is! Sew nice ;)!
