A supportive friend requested my help designing a shirt for a sanctuary she volunteered at.
I fell in love with a photo of Daisy sitting in her mud puddle, and she reminded me of Ferdinand the Bull…. not to mention his love of flowers… so I had to include daisies as part of the design, and thought what a great chance to do garden gate ironwork as border decoration.
Sketched on regular drawing paper in blue pencil and black pencil, transfered to 11×14 Bristol with blue pencil, then inked with brushed and pen, before finally being touched up and colored on computer. This is also the first time I have started using Adobe Illustrator, which I used for all of the border and text design, as well as coloring the hand drawn artwork.
