I was working on another similar design of my own to help a different sanctuary when I saw The Farm Micro Sanctuary put a call out on Instagram for artists to draw their goat Fern as a ballerina dancer (she was standing up to reach leaves on a tree branch above her). I had stopped working on my dancing goat and decided this might be a fun way to get that project moving again too! They wanted something fun and simple, and it was definitely a blast to draw her!
Sketched on regular drawing paper in blue pencil and black pencil, transferred to 9×12 Bristol with blue pencil, then inked with brushed and pen, before finally being colored on computer, with the texts and hearts added in the same program (Adobe Illustrator).
It’s always so hard to take a quick pic of yourself wearing one of your shirts you’ve designed, but I’m always giving it a try! 😉 Wearing this shirt always puts a little smile on my face, and the shirt itself is very comfy (although I wish I’d also ordered one of the soft-looking hoodies in a similar shade)!
The fundraiser can be found here.
