I’m not much of a gamer, really, but I’ve enjoyed my fandom centering around Middle Earth. I’ve also recently (early 2014) joined The Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO) and created three characters so far. I game with my husband, and the friend I chatted with about LOTRO before joining (huge thanks to her for taking the time to convince me to try it — I’m so glad! — as well as waiting patiently for my character to catch up, and tolerating my “will always feel like a newbie” while questing 😉 ).
While I don’t intend to have LOTRO be the focus of this blog, it is something that’s become a part of my life on a regular basis. I wanted a page to be able to link to most of the more important entries, such as character introductions.

You’ll notice I don’t mention which server we are on, and only write names by initials. It’s not that I’m anti-social, but scheduling time for the three of us to play together as planned (and telling our story, along with the game’s story) is difficult enough. I wouldn’t want to game with others, getting too far ahead of our little group. At the same time, I want to write down some memories as I continue playing. It’s fun to blog about this, when I don’t have other things to blog about! 😉
